Sprouts!

As a family, we used to grow our own sprouts from Certified Organic seeds in our home kitchen but since we’ve found Sprouts grown to order locally, we now eat the freshest sprouts every week with less fuss for us, giving us more time for our gardens and our business.

The health benefits of sprouts make up quite an impressive list and they include the ability to improve the digestive process, boost the metabolism, and increase enzymatic activity throughout the body.   When paired with a diet rich in Organic raw foods, they prevent anaemia, help with weight loss, lower cholesterol, reduce blood pressure, prevent neural tube defects in infants, protect against cancer, boost skin health, improve vision, support the immune system, and increase usable energy reserves.  Did you know that they also increase the amount of breast milk in a nursing mother?

The label “Sprouts” refers to a number of different vegetable or plant beans in the period of time after they begin to grow. The most common sprouts that people regularly eat are Sunflower, Alfalfa and Mung Bean sprouts but here in the Clarence Valley, you can also buy Almond and lentil sprouts.
